About Thomas P. Burke

For the past 15+ years, my practice has focused on trucking and transportation litigation. I have been Illinois counsel for a major national trucking company for about 25 years, and tried numerous cases to verdict for them. Additionally, I have worked with a number of insurers in the field. I am knowledgeable regarding regulatory standards (FMCSA, the interplay between motor carriers, owner operators and brokers; insurance tenders, indemnity agreements, FELA, workers compensation liens and liens waivers, and other issues that entities in the trucking industry and their insurers encounter regularly. I also have extensive trial experience with automobile negligence and premises liability cases through a major home and auto liability insurer. I graduated from The Loyola University of Chicago Law School night program in 1984. I worked a full-time job through law school for a Fortune 500 company. I have practiced with Querrey & Harrow, Ltd. for my entire legal career.
