About Mr. Robert Berliner Jr.

CBA Lawyer Badge
Mr. Berliner is a graduate of Harvard College and Harvard Law School and served in the US Navy as an officer on a nuclear submarine. He began practicing law with a small firm, where he was fortunate to have been involved in nearly every area of a business oriented law practice--especially real estate and corporate transactions, estate planning and probate, and business litigation. After 10 years with that firm, he started his own firm, focusing particularly on real estate and corporate transactions, as well as estate planning and probate. He then became general counsel to Jupiter Realty Corporation, a national real estate developer and investor, and Jupiter Industries, Inc., a family controlled conglomerate, both founded by the late Jerrold Wexler. Since 2009, he has been primarily a mediator, having mediated over 300 cases, over 90% of which have resulted in settlement, and an arbitrator, as well as an expert witness in real estate cases. He has also been a principal in many real estate and other business ventures. He brings to mediation the perspective that that wide-ranging legal and business experience can provide. He has been named an Illinois SuperLawyer (Alternate Dispute Resolution) for 2013 through 2021. For more, see his website www.berlinergroup.com.
