About Michael Alkaraki

Michael Alkaraki is a Partner and Trial Lawyer at Leahy Hoste Alkaraki, where he represents plaintiffs in cases of catastrophic personal injury, medical malpractice, products liability and wrongful death. He is an Adjunct Professor at his alma mater, Loyola University Chicago School of Law, where he teaches Advocacy, Trial Practice and Professional Identity Formation and serves on the Dean's Diversity Council and Alumni Board of Governors. A frequent author, speaker and CLE presenter, Mr. Alkaraki was recognized as one of "Forty Under 40 Illinois Attorneys to Watch" by Chicago Lawyer Magazine/The Chicago Daily Law Bulletin in 2017 and received the 2019 "Civic Education Award" from the Illinois State Bar Association in recognition of his outstanding service and commitment to cultivating a deeper public understanding of the judicial system. In 2021, Loyola Law School presented Mr. Alkaraki with the "Saint Robert Bellarmine Award," which honors alumni who have distinguished themselves through their contributions to the School of Law and broader legal profession. Mr. Alkaraki serves in leadership roles in several bar associations and professional organizations, as a pro bono attorney through the Wills for Heroes Foundation and on the Board of Directors of Opportunity Knocks, a local not-for-profit entity addressing the needs of the young adult developmentally challenged population.
