About Lawrence Gosewisch
I have practiced law in Illinois for over 37 years with a concentration on complex commercial litigation, including claims relating to: breach of fiduciary duty against directors and officers on the boards of condominium and non-profit corporations; violations of the Deceptive Trade Practices and Consumer Fraud Acts; and matters seeking injunctive and other equitable relief. My focus has been on construction law, with an emphasis on the representation of professionals such as architects and engineers. These disputes include design and construction defect claims involving multi-million dollar commercial structures. They sometimes involve serious personal injuries occurring at construction sites, which may implicate a consideration of Kotecki caps on an employer's liability and the resolution of workers compensation liens. I have vast experience in the nuances of insurance issues relating to construction claims, including the interaction among CGL, Professional Liability, OCIP, and various other project liability policies. I am also licensed in Wisconsin and admitted in various federal district and appellate courts around the country, including the Trial Bar for the Northern District of Illinois.Information
