About Ann Hagerty
My 25+year legal career has encompassed a broad range of roles in both the public and private legal sectors. I worked for 6 years as a Cook County Assistant State's Attorney, primarily in the Financial Fraud Unit analyzing complex financial data to assist in the investigation and felony prosecution of financial crimes. I served as general counsel for an alternative asset management firm, responsible for legal and regulatory compliance. Currently, my private practice involves corporate and commodity futures matters. I am also a volunteer mediator for the Dispute Resolution Institute, mediating landlord/tenant issues. In November 2022, I completed a 40-hour Family Mediation training with the Dispute Resolution Institute. I have trained in facilitative mediation which focuses on assisting parties to reach mutually agreeable resolutions. I believe active listening and effective communication are key to successful mediations.Information
